Application Architect – London

Requirements:

• In-depth understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and the full software development life cycle
• Good understanding of MS .NET Framework environments
• Knowledge and experience of Agile methodology
• Knowledge of cloud and AI technologies that can be adopted into the workplace
• Extensive experience working as a software and solutions architect
• Experience in designing high-level concepts for software solutions
• Experience in developing Azure cloud-based and on-premises solutions
• DevOps and SCRUM experience
• Experience in cloud migration planning and execution

Responsibilities:

• Create and improve architectural standards for on-premises and Azure cloud software products
• Develop cloud migration procedures and guidelines
• Assist in cloud migration projects, assess readiness and dependencies, and optimize for the cloud
• Create and review blueprints for software products and provide guidance on improving architecture
• Code mission‑critical parts and perform code reviews
• Assist in integrating AI technologies to improve existing systems
• Ensure applications align with compliance and regulatory standards and conduct regular security assessments
• Create related technical documentation
• Assist developers with architecture‑related issues and queries

More:

We are offering a 6-month role with a very likely extension for an Application Architect in a Tier 1 bank. This is a hybrid position based in Canary Wharf, with 3 days per week in our Canary Wharf office. The rate is £600 per day inside IR35.
