Overview
As Public Sector Account Executive, you drive growth by building a targeted territory plan and a robust pipeline in government and public institutions. You will articulate the value of graph technology over traditional databases and lead strategic sales cycles to close deals. You collaborate with pre-sales and cross-functional teams to scope POCs, tailor proposals, and land-and-expand within accounts. You will work closely with SDRs, Field Marketing, and Channel partners to accelerate adoption and align with Neo4j’s mission to enable explainable, governed AI. This role offers impact through shaping public sector transformations with graph intelligence.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a territory plan for target agencies and use cases to build a qualified pipeline
- Develop expert knowledge of Neo4j solutions and their applicability to the target market
- Present compelling benefits of graph technology versus alternative databases to customers
- Lead sales cycles using Strategic Selling methodologies and craft proposals for Neo4j products and services
- Collaborate with Pre-Sales to scope and deliver well-qualified POCs
- Execute Land & Expand strategy to grow the business in landed accounts
- Guide and support the assigned SDR, Field Marketing, and Channel Director in pipeline development and target programs
- Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting in Salesforce.com per forecasting guidelines
Key requirements
- Experience selling to the Public Sector vertical
- Ability to develop and manage a sales pipeline and meet quarterly/annual targets
- Strong presentation and proposal development skills
- Experience with leading sales cycles and strategic selling approaches
- Familiarity with POCs and cross-functional collaboration (Pre-Sales, Marketing, Channel)
- CRM fluency, specifically Salesforce.com
