Principal Security Engineer

Overview

In this role you will lead the design and implementation of secure systems across cloud and on‑prem environments to protect digital finance. You’ll embed security-by-design in the SDLC, drive automated tooling, and oversee resilience against evolving threats while leveraging approved AI workflows with responsible guardrails. You will partner with engineering and client teams to raise security standards and sustain secure transformation for financial services. This is a hands‑on lead role that shapes security strategy and execution at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise‑wide security controls and frameworks with automation where appropriate
• Embed security controls into CI/CD pipelines (SAST, SCA, DAST, container scanning) and promote secure SDLC practices
• Collaborate across teams to champion secure development and responsible AI security workflows
• Lead vulnerability assessments, code reviews and security audits with proper human review and escalation
• Develop and evolve security standards, engineering patterns, and data protection strategies

Key requirements

• Hands‑on experience with Palo Alto, Microsoft or similar security ecosystems
• Deep cloud security expertise across AWS, Azure or GCP
• Proven ability in secure coding, endpoint protection, SIEM and IAM
• Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST and OWASP; understanding of responsible AI and human‑in‑the‑loop controls
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, PowerShell or Go for security automation; experience with Zero Trust Architecture
