Development Manager (Integrations Team)

Overview

In this role you will lead CloudPay’s Integrations Team to architect, build, and maintain robust integration solutions that connect client and partner systems. You will oversee the full software lifecycle for integration projects, collaborate with product, architecture, and other teams, and drive best practices in CI/CD, testing, and documentation. You will ensure scalable, secure, and high-performance integrations while mentoring engineers and guiding recruitment and growth. This is a people-led role in a fast-paced, collaborative environment shaping how CloudPay connects ecosystems for global payroll solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers focused on integration solutions
• Oversee end-to-end SDLC for integration projects from requirements to deployment and support
• Collaborate with product, architects, and other dev teams to define specs, scope, and timelines
• Drive best practices: code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, and documentation
• Ensure scalability, reliability, security, and performance of integrations
• Act as SME for integration technologies and patterns and provide technical guidance
• Manage performance reviews, coaching, and professional development
• Participate in recruitment and onboarding of new team members
• Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders

Key requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field
• 5+ years of software development with a focus on integrations and APIs
• 2+ years in a leadership or management role
• Strong understanding of integration patterns and protocols (REST, SOAP, SFTP, EDI) and related technologies
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, Go)
• Experience with cloud-based integration platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is highly desirable
• Solid SQL and NoSQL database knowledge and data modeling
• Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and strong communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
