Overview

In this role you support the compliance function to meet regulatory obligations within a wholesale banking context. You will help maintain a robust compliance framework and contribute to Head Office reporting, working closely with cross-functional teams. You’ll manage day-to-day administration of Compliance and AML systems, produce regular and ad‑hoc reports, and support training and policy enhancements. This position offers a chance to impact risk management and regulatory projects while collaborating with auditors and internal stakeholders. The role combines Mandarin-speaking capabilities with regulatory expertise to drive accurate governance and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Support the operation and day-to-day administration of Compliance and AML systems, including workflow processing and analysis
  • Prepare and complete regular and ad hoc Compliance and AML reports and monitor MI according to local regulatory requirements and Head Office policies
  • Assist with queries from senior Compliance team members and communicate compliance standards to internal stakeholders
  • Assist with administration and monitoring of Compliance and AML training
  • Support regulatory projects, including gap analysis, impact assessment, and policy/procedure enhancements
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors and prepare relevant documents
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks or projects assigned by the DGM Compliance as required

Key requirements

  • Wholesale banking experience preferred
  • Confident communicator with multicultural awareness
  • High attention to detail and strong risk awareness
  • Proficient in English and Mandarin
  • Excellent analytical and report writing skills
  • Ability to interpret regulatory texts and apply them to business scenarios
  • Degree in law, finance, business or related field
  • Relevant academic/professional qualifications (e.g., Securities Institute Diploma in Regulation & Compliance, AML Diploma) desirable
