Clinical Data Administrator

Overview

In this role you will manage LAS clinical registries through data collection, input and QA to support clinical and operational performance reporting. You will contribute to clinical audit and research activities and help inform patient care. You will work with emergency 999 data, link multiple records, and trace outcomes to support data-driven improvements. This position sits within the Clinical Audit and Research Unit and offers a chance to impact care at scale within the London NHS Trust.

Responsibilities

• Extract and input data from the 999 call log and patient records into the database, covering clinical, performance and operational information
• Interpret recorded data to determine care provided and code where possible
• Link and merge multiple records for a single patient
• Trace patients in national registries and collect outcome information
• Meet data entry targets and escalate barriers as needed
• Produce routine reports and information on clinical and operational performance
• Support related clinical audit and research activities as required

Key requirements

• Qualified to A-Level/NVQ Level 3 standard or equivalent experience
• Experience working with large, complex computerised data sets
• Desirable: basic clinical knowledge or medical terminology
• Demonstrable working knowledge of SQL, MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Working knowledge of data analysis tools (MS Excel or SPSS)
• Basic statistical skills to compute frequencies, distributions, percentages and display them graphically
