Hands-On Chief Engineer – Tugboats & Towage

Svitzer is seeking a hands-on Chief Engineer to join Ayton Cross, overseeing high-power tug machinery in coastal and harbour towage. You will be responsible for engine room readiness, fault diagnosis under pressure, and supporting the Master and crew to keep the tug operational.

This is a senior, non-desk role requiring STCW III/3 Chief Engineer and ENG1 certification, a professional mindset, and willingness to work across UK ports with a 2-week on/off rotation.
