Salary: £85,000 – 85,000 per year
Requirements:
- We are looking for a hands-on Senior Software Engineer or Technical Lead with strong commercial Java development experience.
- We need experience designing and building solutions in AWS.
- We are looking for full-stack development experience using JavaScript, React and TypeScript.
- We need previous experience leading engineers or providing technical direction.
- We are looking for an understanding of software architecture and technical design.
- We need experience working throughout the full software development lifecycle.
- We are looking for strong communication and stakeholder-engagement skills.
- We need the ability to understand customer challenges and translate them into practical technical solutions.
- Consultancy experience would be helpful, but it is not essential.
- Due to the sensitive nature of the projects, the successful candidate must be able to obtain high-level UK security clearance.
- To be eligible, we require British citizenship and permanent residence in the UK for the last five years.
Responsibilities:
- We will lead and support a team of software engineers.
- We will design, develop and test bespoke software solutions.
- We will provide technical direction and communicate clearly with clients.
- We will produce solution architectures and technical designs.
- We will build full-stack applications using Java, JavaScript, React and TypeScript.
- We will design and deploy cloud-based solutions, primarily using AWS.
- We will create continuous integration pipelines using tools such as GitLab.
- We will work across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements and architecture through to delivery, support and maintenance.
- We will deploy software into public and private cloud environments.
- We will promote high standards of software quality, security and engineering practice.
