Overview

In this General Counsel role, you will provide strategic legal guidance to the board and executive team across the group’s payments, banking, technology, and gaming activities. You will draft and negotiate commercial agreements and manage FCA regulatory matters, collaborating with senior stakeholders to support growth and new product lines. You will help shape risk management, compliance, and corporate matters across a fast-moving business pursuing organic growth and acquisitions. The opportunity offers high visibility, impact on culture, and close collaboration with the CEO, COO and the board to drive long-term vision.

Responsibilities

• Be the go-to legal advisor for the business and coordinate across functions
• Regularly communicate with the board and senior stakeholders on current and future matters
• Provide advice on complex FCA regulatory matters and projects
• Collaborate with senior executives to ensure effective cross-functional communication
• Support across commercial, employment, compliance, and corporate matters

Key requirements

• Previous General Counsel or senior legal role with relevant experience
• Experience negotiating commercial contracts in payments, banking and technology
• Proven ability to engage with internal and external senior stakeholders
• Lotto? LLB qualified, minimum 10 years PQE
• Ability to build and lead a team adaptable to a dynamic business
