Principal Electrical Engineer – PSC

Overview

In this role you will act as the technical electrical expert to support decarbonisation and energy projects across multiple sectors. You will work under the Lead Electrical Engineer to deliver electrical scopes from concept to start-up, in a hybrid Hull setting. You will contribute to engineering excellence for clients and stakeholders, shaping electrical design across asset lifecycles and digital solutions. Responsibilities

• Lead or contribute to electrical scopes across all project phases (concept to FEED to EPC)
• Ensure designs meet complex specifications, codes, and standards
• Interface with Mechanical packages and Client personnel to enable project execution
• Coordinate with Vendors and FAT processes to support procurement and validation
• Prepare engineering documentation for assigned projects and review calculations and drawings
• Support proposals with technical input and planning for execution
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical development
• Manage discipline cost and schedule and provide progress reports
• Participate in site visits, design reviews, and project workshops
• Adhere to discipline procedures and pursue continuous improvement

Key requirements

• MSc in Electrical Engineering
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certificate
• Proficient in Amtech/Trimble software
• Ability to interpret Electrical technical information
• Strong knowledge of ATEX/UKEX standards (ExF, Ex12 desirable)
• Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards
• Ability to deliver functional, cost-effective designs with limited supervision
• Experience in electrical generation, transformation and distribution systems
• Familiarity with specification/interface management for Mechanical packages
• Experience with Vendor liaison and FAT processes
• Experience with offshore design or site survey (desirable)
