Solicitor – Insurance & Reinsurance – Bristol – 4+ Years PQE
Location: Bristol
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (hybrid working available)
Salary: £70,000-£95,000 (depending on experience)
The Role
The firm is seeking an Insurance Associate (4+ PQE) to join its Insurance & Reinsurance team in Bristol. This role provides the opportunity to work within a busy, expanding group handling complex, high value matters for major insurers, reinsurers and brokers across the UK and internationally.
- Defendant professional indemnity matters (solicitors, brokers, FI professionals)
- FI/D&O claims; complex policy coverage disputes for insurers and reinsurers
- Cyber breach response and coverage work
- Exposure to emerging areas such as W&I, FinTech and Tech E&O
- Working closely with key insurer clients and developing your own market relationships
- Contributing to a collaborative, commercial and forward thinking team culture
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:
- 4+ years PQE in insurance litigation, coverage or professional indemnity
- Experience gained at a City, major regional or international firm
- Strong drafting skills and the ability to deliver clear, commercial advice
- Confidence handling insurer clients and complex matters independently
- Excellent communication, judgement and project management skills
- A proactive, organised and commercially minded approach
