Overview

As Senior Full Stack Engineer, you design, build, and operate secure, scalable products for Compensation Collection, Shadow Payroll, and Equity. You’ll own end-to-end features across Next.js/React front ends and C#/.NET services on Azure, in a highly regulated environment. You will embed AI capabilities into workflows and contribute to architectural decisions. Your work supports accurate, auditable, and privacy-respecting payroll and equity processing for multinational employers. This role offers impact at scale within a global mobility leader focused on compliance and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Develop modern web experiences for Compensation Collection, Shadow Payroll, and Equity using Next.js, React, and TypeScript with a focus on performance and reliability.
• Build backend services and APIs in C#/.NET to support data ingestion, cross-border payroll calculations, equity processing, and integrations with client HR/payroll/equity systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, ADP, Shareworks, E*TRADE, Carta).
• Deliver Azure-native implementations for shadow payroll, compensation pipelines, and equity tax workflows using PaaS and secure patterns.
• Contribute to system architecture and design for multi-country payroll/compensation/equity domains and define integration patterns (REST, file feeds, event-driven).
• Own production readiness including logging, monitoring, alerting, reconciliation tooling, incident response, and operational docs for payroll cycles and deadlines.
• Apply secure development practices for handling sensitive data (privacy, auditability, segregation of duties, GDPR, SOC 2, local regulations).
• Partner with product, mobility tax, payroll, and equity experts to translate regulatory requirements into technical plans.
• Utilize agentic development tools (Claude Code, Codex) and work in a spec-driven workflow with AI agents to accelerate design, implementation, testing, and operations.
• Design and implement AI-powered features such as intelligent data extraction, anomaly detection, LLM-assisted workflows, and RAG over tax and payroll guidance.
• Evaluate and integrate AI APIs/models, ensuring responsible AI usage, cost management, and observability in financially material outputs.
• Mentor engineers, participate in code reviews, and provide technical guidance on payroll, compensation, and equity patterns.

Key requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience in enterprise web apps and services, ideally in payroll/compensation/equity/HR/finance/tax.
• Strong frontend experience with Next.js and/or React (TypeScript, state management, performance optimization).
• Strong backend experience in C#/.NET (ASP.NET, WebAPI, MVC) with API design for high-integrity calculation systems.
• Experience delivering cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure (PaaS, tooling, security, observability).
• Experience in regulated environments with security controls, auditability, and privacy considerations.
• Solid engineering fundamentals and scalable architecture mindset, with focus on accuracy and reconciliation in calculations.
• Experience with AI-assisted development workflows (spec-driven, agent-driven with Claude Code/Codex) and AI-augmented development.
• Proven ability to build products incorporating AI capabilities (prompt design, LLM API integration, AI-enhanced UX).
