⚡ Principal Electrical Engineer | Oxford – £70,000 – £80,000
Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking for more ownership over the projects you deliver?
An opportunity has opened up in Oxford for a Principal Electrical Engineer to join a growing building services team working across a genuinely varied project portfolio.
From heritage and education to healthcare, commercial, hospitality, transport and public buildings, you’ll have the opportunity to work on technically varied projects and be involved from early feasibility through to completion and handover.
What will you be doing?
You’ll take a key role in the technical delivery of projects, including:
• Leading project surveys and site investigations
• Developing feasibility studies
• Producing electrical designs and supporting project delivery
• Preparing specifications and technical documentation
• Providing on-site supervision
• Supporting contract administration
• Working with multidisciplinary teams on building services installations
• Mentoring and supporting junior engineers
What are we looking for?
We’re interested in Electrical Engineers who can combine strong technical knowledge with the ability to take ownership and work collaboratively.
You’ll ideally have:
✔️ A relevant engineering degree
✔️ 3–5+ years’ building services design experience
✔️ Strong Revit experience
✔️ Experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers
✔️ Experience across multiple sectors
✔️ Strong communication and organisational skills
✔️ Good Microsoft Office knowledge
✔️ Full driving licence and access to your own transport
Experience with additional design/modelling software is useful, but training is available.
