Overview

As a Director in Gartner BTI, you will lead research and thought leadership on HR technology and L&D, influencing CHROs and HR leaders across industries. You’ll translate complex client challenges into pragmatic insights delivered through multiple formats, from writing to video and events. Your work shapes Gartner’s research agenda and keeps you ahead of AI-driven HR trends. This role combines expert analysis with client-facing influence to drive strategy and outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Produce innovative, actionable research across formats (writing, video, infographics, podcasts) on L&D and HR tech and emerging AI use cases
  • Develop insights and thought leadership that meet client needs and accelerate strategic action
  • Analyze root causes of client barriers to reframe thinking and advance business goals
  • Demonstrate credibility through provocative, independent insights that evolve research
  • Monitor AI-driven HR technologies and vendors to forecast market trends and create deliverables
  • Provide individualized, data-backed advice to CHROs and HR leaders via video presentations and discussions
  • Create high-value presentation materials for Gartner events, conferences and client briefings
  • Support sales by voicing market perspectives to help BTI teams engage clients
  • Deliver high-quality content through peer review and maintain Gartner’s industry credibility
  • Collaborate with BTI peers, participate in innovation and research discussions
  • Identify process improvements to enhance service delivery
  • Mentor and coach junior team members

Key requirements

  • Bachelor with 10 years of relevant HR technology leadership experience
  • Deep knowledge of L&D platforms, legacy-to-emerging transitions, and AI-enabled skills in learning systems
  • Understanding of CHRO and L&D leader workflows and priorities
  • Experience designing and managing HR tech strategies and roadmaps in enterprises
  • Extensive knowledge of the HR tech landscape, AI impact on vendors and market dynamics
  • Strong executive presence with senior-level audiences
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills under tight deadlines
