Plant Manager – Production & Packing

Are you an experienced Plant Manager, Production Manager or Operations Manager looking for a senior leadership opportunity within a large-scale manufacturing environment?
We’re working with an established manufacturing operation in Derbyshire to appoint a senior operational leader who will take ownership of production, packing, storage and dispatch activities.
This is a role for someone who enjoys leading from the front – developing people, improving plant performance and working cross-functionally to deliver safe, reliable and efficient operations.
What will you be responsible for?
Leading supervisors and operational teams
⚙️ Managing day-to-day production and plant operations
🦺 Driving a strong safety culture
Delivering operational KPIs and performance targets
Leading continuous improvement initiatives
Working closely with Engineering & Maintenance
Coordinating maintenance activities and shutdowns
Managing budgets and operational expenditure
🚚 Overseeing packing, storage and dispatch
🤝 Working closely with Quality, Logistics, Supply Chain and Commercial teams
What are we looking for?
You’ll need strong experience leading operational teams and demonstrable responsibility for safety, production performance, people, costs and continuous improvement.
Experience with SAP or another ERP system would be beneficial.
