- NQ -4PQE Legal Counsel
The opportunity
TSR Legal are currently recruiting for a NQ -4PQE Legal Counsel to join the growing in-house legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer who enjoys working closely with the business, providing practical legal advice and helping teams navigate a broad range of commercial matters.
You will work alongside senior stakeholders across sales, procurement, technology, finance, operations and other business functions, acting as a trusted legal partner and helping the organisation achieve its commercial objectives while managing legal and contractual risk.
This is a varied role with significant exposure to the wider business and the opportunity to make a real impact within a fast-paced, international environment.
Key responsibilities
- Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including customer, supplier, partnership, SaaS, technology and services agreements.
- Provide clear, pragmatic and commercially focused legal advice to stakeholders across the business.
- Support sales and procurement teams throughout the contract lifecycle, from initial review through to negotiation and execution.
- Identify, assess and manage legal and contractual risks, escalating material issues where appropriate.
- Advise on contractual terms including liability, indemnities, warranties, intellectual property, confidentiality, data protection, termination and governing law.
- Develop and maintain standard contracts, templates, playbooks and legal guidance.
- Support the business with contract management processes and help improve legal workflows and efficiency.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across Legal, Compliance, Privacy, Finance, Sales, Procurement, Technology and Operations.
- Monitor relevant legal and regulatory developments and advise the business on their potential impact.
- Support wider legal and strategic projects as required.
About You
We are looking for a qualified solicitor or lawyer with strong commercial experience, ideally gained within an in-house legal team or a commercial law firm.
You will have
- Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
- A practical, solution-oriented approach to legal advice.
- The ability to understand commercial priorities and balance them against legal and regulatory risk.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Confidence working independently and managing competing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture.
- The ability to explain complex legal issues clearly to non-lawyers.
- Experience working with technology, SaaS, data, professional services or other B2B commercial arrangements would be advantageous.
- A collaborative approach and the confidence to build effective relationships across a business.
