Requirements
Previous experience within a catering, food preparation or kitchen environment
Sound knowledge of Health and Safety and food hygiene regulations
Good communication skills and a supportive, team-oriented approach
Practical experience with cash handling and operating point of sale systems
Ability to carry out physical tasks, including cleaning, stock movement and event setup
Candidates will be subject to enhanced vetting / compliance checks including an Enhanced Access NI check due to the nature of this work, this may include a Barred List check for both Children & Vulnerable Adults (depending on the role).
Responsibilities
Assist with the daily setup, preparation and opening of service areas, training kitchens and dining spaces
Support staff and learners in the safe use of kitchen equipment, supplies and stock
Prepare food and beverages while maintaining strict hygiene and safety standards
Operate points of sale, serve customers and assist with daily financial and cash handling procedures
Maintain high standards of cleanliness by completing daily tidying, scheduled deep cleans and waste disposal
Help monitor stock levels, manage storage areas and set up facilities for special events
