About you
- Extensive experience in the design, detailing, and technical aspects of precast concrete products
- Proven track record of supervising, mentoring, or leading a team of BIM technicians within an office environment
- Strong knowledge of structural drafting principles and BIM workflows, preferably with industry-standard software
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects efficiently
- Effective communicator capable of liaising with internal teams, clients, and manufacturing partners
- Solid understanding of industry regulations, including Eurocodes and safety standards
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Structural/Civil Engineering or a related technical discipline is desirable but not essential
What you’ll do
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of BIM technicians, supporting their professional growth and ensuring high-quality output
- Oversee and review the development of 3D models, fabrication drawings, and schedules to guarantee structural integrity, visual finish, and compliance with project specifications
- Coordinate workloads within the team to align with project milestones, deadlines, and manufacturing schedules
- Act as a point of contact between the design office, manufacturing facilities, and site teams to promptly resolve technical queries and ensure smooth project progress
- Maintain and develop BIM standards, drafting protocols, and workflows, continuously improving processes for efficiency and accuracy
- Support the delivery of complex projects from conception through to completion, ensuring all deliverables meet quality, safety, and schedule requirements
- Contribute to ongoing process improvements and stay current with technological advancements within the industry
