Senior Procurement Manager

We are currently partnering with a leading manufacturing business in the Craigavon area to recruit an experienced Procurement Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing organisation where you’ll take ownership of procurement strategy, supplier performance, and purchasing activities, ensuring the business delivers operational excellence while achieving commercial objectives.

Salary

Up to £55,000 DOE + comprehensive benefits package

Working Hours

• Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 5:15pm
• Friday: 8:00am – 12:00pm or
• Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 4:00pm
• Friday: 7:00am – 12:00pm

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies to support business and operational objectives.
• Lead supplier sourcing activities, tender processes, contract negotiations, and supplier selection.
• Manage supplier relationships, ensuring quality, service, delivery, and cost targets are achieved.
• Drive procurement efficiencies and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
• Monitor supplier performance and address risks within the supply chain.
• Ensure timely availability of materials to support production schedules.
• Support inventory management initiatives and working capital improvements.
• Lead and develop the procurement team, promoting continuous improvement and best practice.
• Collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Finance teams.
• Provide regular reporting and analysis on procurement performance and market trends.

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience within procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong track record of supplier negotiation and contract management.
• Experience delivering cost-saving initiatives and procurement improvement projects.
• Excellent commercial awareness and decision-making ability.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Sound understanding of supply chain, inventory, and purchasing principles.
• Experience using ERP and MRP systems.
• Degree qualified in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• CIPS qualification would be beneficial.
