Overview
In this role you will own and operate Amey’s highways framework portfolio, driving delivery aligned with capacity and strategic intent. You will manage framework governance, P&L, and client relationships to ensure opportunities are identified and progressed. You will coordinate across bids, delivery, and commercial teams to enable early visibility and effective mobilisation for approved opportunities. This position offers exposure to public-sector frameworks and multi-stakeholder environments, with a focus on sustainable growth and robust governance. Responsibilities
- Act as the single operational point of control for the framework and main client contact
- Own and manage Framework P&L and growth in line with revenue/margin targets
- Maintain the Framework Management Plan and ensure governance is applied consistently
- Monitor framework health and escalate issues early
- Engage with clients regularly and oversee qualification of upcoming opportunities
- Lead opportunity qualification discussions focusing on fit, readiness, and capacity
- Coordinate decisions with the Framework Director as needed
- Act as the primary operational interface with framework authorities
- Coordinate with Business Development, Commercial, Practices, and Delivery while remaining neutral
- Support mobilisation readiness for approved opportunities
- Identify pressure points or overload risks and escalate appropriately
Key requirements
- Professional experience in a relevant discipline
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
- Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders
- Ability to facilitate structured qualification discussions
- Ability to apply judgement under pressure without escalating unnecessarily
- Experience with public-sector frameworks or similar routes to market
- Experience operating in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments
- Experience balancing competing demands against finite delivery capacity
- Experience applying governance or control without line authority over delivery
