PHP Engineer

Overview

In this role, you will strengthen our UK Loans platform by delivering robust PHP-based solutions and APIs that improve the customer journey. You’ll work in a high-performing engineering team, shaping architecture and driving the lending platform’s performance. You’ll own components end-to-end, collaborating with cross-functional partners to scale fintech capabilities. Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate APIs to enhance the customer journey
• Optimize and evolve lending platforms and systems
• Engage in architectural discussions to shape technical direction
• Own features end-to-end with strong accountability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment

Key requirements

• 5+ years of PHP development
• PHP 8.0+ proficiency
• Strong understanding of Symfony
• Experience with Domain Driven Design, Message-Driven Systems and Event Sourcing (plus)
• Strong automated testing skills (unit, integration, functional, Behat)
