Key Responsibilities
As a School Catering Assistant, you will:Assist with the preparation and serving of mealsSupport the kitchen team during busy service periodsMaintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen and dining areasOperate kitchen equipment safely and efficientlyAssist with stock rotation, storage, and basic food preparationProvide excellent customer service to pupils, teachers, and school staffFollow food safety, allergen, and health & safety procedures at all times
What We’re Looking For
A positive, reliable, and hardworking attitudeGood communication and teamwork skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentBasic food hygiene knowledge (training can be provided)Previous catering, kitchen, or hospitality experience is desirable but not essentialAn Enhanced DBS check is advantageous, although support may be available for suitable candidates
