Overview

As a Construction Disputes Solicitor/Associate, you will handle high-value, contentious construction matters within a national practice. You will support a collaborative national team while advising on disputes across the public and private sector. The role focuses on complex adjudications, litigation and ADR, with exposure to PFI/PPP projects and defect disputes. You’ll work directly with clients and contribute to strategic advisory work that shapes major national disputes.

Responsibilities

• Advise on final account and loss and expense claims
• Handle defect disputes and PFI/PPP project issues
• Act on high-value adjudications, litigation and ADR
• Liaise with clients and external stakeholders
• Draft pleadings, correspondence and legal analysis
• Support senior lawyers on major disputes and strategic advisory work
• Collaborate with cross-office national team
• Manage a varied, busy caseload
• Contribute to a collaborative, nationally integrated team

Key requirements

• 1-5 years PQE in construction disputes or commercial litigation with construction exposure
• Strong drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage a busy caseload and time effectively
• Confidence in liaising with clients and delivering commercial advice
• Ambition to develop expertise within a high-performing national team
