AWS Security Engineer

Overview

In this role you bridge functional and technical requirements for DNS-domain management projects. You will translate business needs into technical specs, assist in configuration and minor customisations, and support basic troubleshooting and documentation. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth migrations and interface with AWS Route 53, MarkMonitor, and other stakeholders. This position offers exposure to domain management at scale and a chance to contribute to secure, reliable DNS infrastructure within a broader digital transformation agenda.

Responsibilities

• Understand and translate functional requirements into technical specifications
• Assist in coding, configuration, and minor customisations per design standards
• Support integration testing and validate interface behaviour
• Troubleshoot and optimise module performance/configuration
• Prepare user documentation, configuration notes, and testing artefacts
• Support knowledge transfer for domain management processes and tools
• Capture domain management practices across MarkMonitor, AWS Route 53, and delegated DNS arrangements
• Review DNS records and zone files to identify dependencies before migration
• Coordinate technically across DL, Aviva, CSC, AWS/cloud teams and CACI
