Project Specification Manager

Overview

In this role you drive the specification-led growth of BMI’s flat refurbishment solutions across the North East. You act as a technical consultant, aligning architectural design with live projects and embedding our SpecMaster guarantees in project specs. You will work closely with specifiers, architects and contractors, conducting site visits and providing end-to-end technical support from design to installation. This field-based role combines hands-on site work with strategic sales, delivering high-value, integrated roofing solutions.

Responsibilities

• Promote BMI flat roofing systems and embed SpecMaster guarantees in specifications
• Conduct around 12 customer/site visits per week to build relationships and identify refurbishment opportunities
• Provide end-to-end technical support from design through to site installation and sign-off
• Manage sales forecasts and pipeline using SAP C4C CRM; identify new business opportunities

Key requirements

• Technical construction sales experience in building materials, roofing, or waterproofing
• Ability to read, interpret, and influence project specifications with architects and contractors
• Comfort with working at heights and performing on-site surveys
• Strong organizational skills to manage high-volume site visits and CRM tracking
• Full UK Driver’s Licence; based in/near North East England
• Experience with SAP C4C CRM is a plus
