Senior Mechanical Engineer

Overview

As a Mechanical Building Services Engineer in our Birmingham team, you will deliver innovative mechanical design solutions for high-profile projects. You will lead and mentor specialist engineers, coordinating with multi-disciplinary partners to ensure technically excellent and profitable outcomes. You will build and nurture client relationships to maximise satisfaction and repeat business. You will contribute to Cundall’s zero-carbon vision and showcase sustainable, intuitive design in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver cutting-edge mechanical design solutions for building projects
• Manage and mentor engineers and coordinate with external partners
• Lead multi-disciplinary collaboration to ensure high-quality, profitable outcomes
• Develop and nurture client relationships to maximise satisfaction and repeat business
• Oversee multiple projects simultaneously and ensure on-time delivery
• Promote zero-carbon, sustainable design in projects and proposals

Key requirements

• Degree in Building Services Engineering (minimum five years’ Mechanical Engineering experience in building services)
• Proven experience managing multiple projects and leading engineers
• Knowledge of BIM/REVIT 3D environments and ability to apply in design
• Experience with ventilation, cooling and air conditioning, heating systems
• Strong client-focused approach and excellent communication and time management skills
