Senior Electronics Engineer | Leicester | £55,000 – £65,000

I’m currently recruiting for an exciting Senior Electronics Engineer opportunity with a growing engineering business developing high-value, highly customised machinery.

This is a genuinely hands-on role where you’ll be involved across electronics, firmware, systems engineering and product development — not just sat behind a desk.

What you’ll be doing:

• Electronics & firmware development for industrial applications
• Microcontroller-based systems, data acquisition & motor control
• Analogue & digital electronics
• Circuit and PCB design, prototyping and testing
• Hands-on troubleshooting, soldering and PCB rework
• Supporting products throughout their full lifecycle
• Working closely with mechanical, software, R&D and manufacturing teams
• Occasional travel to customers, suppliers and other sites

They’re looking for:

• 5+ years’ industrial experience developing electro-mechanical machinery
• Strong electronics and electronic control systems knowledge
• Experience with microcontrollers, firmware & communications
• PCB/circuit design and prototyping experience
• Someone comfortable getting hands-on in the lab, workshop and manufacturing environment
• A proactive engineer who enjoys solving problems and taking ownership

Desirable: Altium, EMC/CE/LVD/MD compliance, SolidWorks, metrology and motor control experience.

Leicester

Salary: £55,000 – £65,000
