Responsibilities

• Design components and tooling using CAD
• Produce engineering drawings
• Manufacture prototype parts using manual lathes and milling machines
• Assemble, test and modify machinery
• Support new product and machine development projects
• Carry out mechanical modifications and improvements
• Undertake basic electrical modification work where required

Key requirements

• Manual lathe and milling machine operation
• Machining prototype components from steel and aluminium
• CAD design, layout of engineering drawings, 3D printing
• Mechanical assembly and workshop practices
