Pertemps Edinburgh Contracts seeks a Driver for Schools in Edinburgh, paying £14.51 hourly. This full-time, temporary post lasts three months, starting as soon as possible. Working Monday to Friday, 36 hours weekly, the schedule involves split shifts: 07:00–10:30 and 14:00–17:00. The Driver will:
- Safely transport passengers to and from school, day centres, and community activities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity at all times.
- Provide assistance when boarding and leaving the vehicle, offering patient and respectful support tailored to each individual’s needs.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks, maintain cleanliness, and promptly report any maintenance concerns.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with passengers, families, and staff, promoting a calm and friendly atmosphere.
- Follow all road safety regulations and organisational policies to the highest standard.
- Have previous experience supporting children or adults with additional needs or vulnerabilities (highly desirable).
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be compassionate, patient, and committed to safeguarding and well being.
