Senior Finance Data Analyst

Overview

In this Senior Finance Data Analyst role, you’ll tackle high-impact, often ambiguous questions by turning data into clear insights that guide commercial decisions. You’ll operate at the intersection of Finance, Commercial and Data to improve performance across revenue, cost and customer outcomes. You’ll shape problems, consolidate data from multiple sources, and deliver actionable recommendations to stakeholders. The role emphasizes prioritising high-value work, automating processes, and raising the standard of analytics across the business.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to define and translate problems into analytical approaches
• Analyse data (SQL, Excel, BI tools) to identify key performance drivers
• Present clear, actionable recommendations to non-technical audiences
• Support process improvements through automation, standardisation and best practice

Key requirements

• Experience using data or analysis to inform business decisions
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work with ambiguity
• Commercial awareness and understanding of performance drivers
• Clear communication and stakeholder management skills
• High attention to detail and a proactive mindset
• Experience in analytics, finance, consulting or similar roles
• Knowledge of SQL, Python, R, or BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
• Experience working with complex datasets or building dashboards
• Exposure to automation or AI-driven analysis
