The Role
Straight Forward Recruitment Ltd are currently recruiting Waste Collection Operatives on behalf of our client, based just outside Norwich.
This is a hands-on and physically active position working as part of a team to collect domestic waste from local properties, including general waste, recycling and garden waste.
You’ll be working to a strict daily schedule, so reliability, teamwork and a good work ethic are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Collecting domestic general waste, recycling and garden waste.
Loading and unloading waste bins throughout the working day.
Working as part of a team to complete daily collection routes.
Carrying out regular manual handling and lifting duties.
Working efficiently to meet daily schedules and collection targets.
Following all Health & Safety procedures.
Maintaining a professional approach when working in the community.
Supporting other members of the team to ensure collections are completed efficiently.
About You
We are looking for reliable and hardworking individuals who:
Are comfortable with physically demanding work.
Are happy working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Can carry out regular lifting and manual handling.
Work well as part of a team.
Can follow instructions and work to a schedule.
Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Are reliable and punctual.
A full driving licence is desirable but not essential.
Full Training Provided
Previous experience is not essential as full training will be provided. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a hands-on role where they can gain experience and become part of an established team.
