Civil Engineer – Aviation

Overview

In this role you will support the delivery of airfield engineering projects for UK and international airports, applying multi-disciplinary design and project controls to meet time, cost and quality targets. You will work with a team of aviation specialists, engage with clients, and contribute to safety, sustainability and smart technology initiatives. Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of technical reports, calculations, drawings and specifications for airfield projects in the UK and overseas
• Identify and manage design risks, issues and RFIs
• Ensure deliverables and milestones meet cost/quality/time targets
• Champion health and safety practices, including safety in design and CDM compliance
• Assist Project Managers with progress monitoring and project controls (change management, information management, document control)
• Respond to client directions professionally and maintain relationships with clients, peers and stakeholders to support future business

Key requirements

• University degree relevant to civil engineering, construction, design or related discipline
• Experience delivering civil engineering projects (aviation not required)
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D and other engineering design software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
• Team player with collaborative problem-solving and ability to work under pressure and prioritise
