Senior Civil Engineer

Overview

Senior Civil Engineer role in a growing consultancy, based in Basingstoke. You will own and deliver diverse infrastructure projects, mentoring juniors and collaborating with clients and multi-disciplinary teams. The position blends hands-on technical design with project leadership, driving quality, timelines and budget adherence. This is a path to Chartership with ICE within a supportive, development-focused environment. You will help shape residential, commercial and mixed-use infrastructure schemes.

Pay / Benefits

• salary 45,000 – 52,000 (DOE)

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from pre-planning through detailed design and construction
• Coordinate with clients, project teams and other disciplines
• Manage multiple projects and ensure on-time, within-budget delivery
• Produce and review technical designs for drainage, highways and development infrastructure
• Mentor and check work of junior engineers
• Support ongoing development of team members
• Maintain high technical quality and service delivery

Key requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering (BEng or MEng preferred)
• Experience in a civil engineering consultancy environment
• Experience in drainage, highways, residential or development infrastructure design
• Knowledge of relevant design standards and approval processes
• Proficiency with Civil 3D and other 3D design packages
• Experience managing multiple projects and coordinating teams
• Ability to mentor junior engineers
• Working towards ICE Chartership
