Senior Civil Engineer

Overview

In this role, you will help deliver a broad portfolio of infrastructure projects across sectors from Leicester, collaborating with a cross-disciplinary team. You shape technical designs, reports and specifications while guiding a small team and mentoring junior staff. You’ll build strong client and partner relationships to drive project delivery and business growth. Responsibilities

• Produce technical designs, specifications, and reports for diverse projects
• Collaborate on single-discipline and multi-disciplinary projects
• Develop and maintain client and partner relationships to support growth
• Assist senior leadership in achieving business objectives and project delivery
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements
• Lead a small team, mentor and upskill staff, manage workload and approvals

Key requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field; working towards or holding IEng/CEng (ICE)
• Eligible for SC clearance
• Experience delivering infrastructure and bespoke projects across varied schemes
• Proficient in industry-standard design software
• Strong communication and team leadership abilities
• Confident in client liaison and cross-disciplinary relationship-building
• Knowledge of construction contracts and appointment forms
• Active CPD engagement for ongoing professional development
• Strong problem-solving skills and task ownership
• Experience writing and presenting reports, contributing to bids and work-winning
• Ability to lead sub-teams and ensure high-quality design outputs
