Associate Mechanical Engineer – Building Services

Overview

In this role you will engage directly with clients and lead strategic concept work within a diverse, cross-disciplinary team. You’ll contribute to a wide portfolio of domestic and international projects across residential, workplace, healthcare, science and research, higher education, and heritage sectors. You’ll own the delivery of technically sound solutions and mentor junior staff while helping manage project fees and resources. You’ll stay at the forefront of industry trends through research and innovative approaches, upholding quality and risk standards. This position offers the chance to shape built-environment outcomes within a collaborative, dynamic firm.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients, attend project meetings and communicate briefs within the team
• Lead development of initial strategic concepts aligned with briefs and regulatory standards
• Contribute to an integrated project design team and collaborate with construction professionals
• Take ownership of technically sound delivery, independently or with a team
• Mentor and guide junior staff to enhance skills and productivity
• Support financial management through monitoring fee expenditure and resource allocation
• Explore innovative approaches and conduct research to maintain competitiveness
• Maintain industry reputation and ensure adherence to quality management and risk control procedures
