In this role you will join Ramboll’s UK Healthcare Team to deliver advisory and design solutions that advance sustainable healthcare infrastructure. You’ll manage projects, lead a team of structural engineers, and collaborate with cross-disciplinary colleagues to meet client needs and project deadlines. You’ll contribute to innovative, zero-carbon design concepts while supporting business development and client engagement. Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the UK Healthcare Team of Structural Engineers
• Manage your own projects from concept to detailed design
• Coordinate design delivery with emphasis on technical excellence and client service
• Act as structural engineering project manager to allocate resources and meet deadlines
• Collaborate with MEP, civils and geo-tech colleagues across disciplines
• Raise the profile and reputation of the UK Healthcare Team
• Develop structural engineering concepts and design philosophies
• Liaise with clients and represent Ramboll at project meetings
• Communicate designs to team members and on-site personnel
• Implement best practice for sustainable, zero-carbon, quality design and advisory services
• Visit sites to support design development or review contract works
• Participate in technical groups and team meetings for continuous improvement
• Drive team-improvement initiatives

Key requirements

• Must have demonstrable experience with UK Healthcare sector projects
• Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (or equivalent)
• Chartered Engineer status or clear path to it
• Excellent project management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects of varying size and complexity
• Understanding of project risks (commercial and technical)
• Experience with digital and parametric design
• Knowledge of assessment, retrofit and alteration of existing structures
• Knowledge of construction supervision, building investigation and structural testing
• Forward-thinking about digital design and smart design in a digitised construction arena
• Excellent communication skills, able to simplify complex concepts
• Able to motivate and collaborate across geographical borders
• Able to work autonomously on technical aspects
