Senior Mechanical Engineer

Overview

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will help enable early retrievals and operations for MSSS SEP machines, working alongside the principal engineer. You’ll produce key technical deliverables and design packages that support manufacture and installation, while ensuring CDM compliance and safety standards. This role suits an innovative engineer with risk-aware problem solving and hands-on project execution. You will contribute to a culture of safety, innovation, and excellence within a fast-growing technical services team.

Responsibilities

• Develop tools to support early retrievals/operations of MSSS SEP machines
• Support the principal engineer in project delivery
• Produce NFRs (Non-Functional Requirements)
• Produce OIMS (Operational Information Management Systems)
• Create design packages suitable for manufacture and installation (drawings, method statements, risk assessments)
• Ensure compliance with CDM roles and specifications
• Adhere to 5L practices, standards and engineering guides

Key requirements

• Understanding of CDM roles and specifications
• Experience producing design packages for manufacture and installation including drawings, method statements, and risk assessments
• Familiarity with 5L practices and relevant standards/engineering guides
• HNC/HND or Engineering Degree
• Desirable: experience in decommissioning legacy facilities, materials and contaminated hazards
