Senior Data Security Specialist

Overview

In this role, you will lead the deployment and continuous improvement of our Data Loss Prevention capabilities to safeguard sensitive data. You will work with cross-functional teams to align protection with business and regulatory needs, and you’ll drive discovery, classification, and labeling of data across the organization. You’ll partner with security, legal, and compliance teams to embed best practices, while evolving controls as technologies and regulations change. Your work directly supports customer and business data protection at a high pace, in a collaborative, high-impact environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of DLP capabilities across the organization.
• Configure, deploy and optimise DLP policies across Netskope, Microsoft Purview, Wiz and Kiteworks.
• Drive data discovery, classification and labeling initiatives.
• Integrate DLP controls with the wider security environment.
• Investigate DLP alerts, support response activities, and provide audit-ready reporting.
• Collaborate with Cyber Security, Information Security, Enterprise Technology, Legal, Compliance, Data Governance and Privacy teams.
• Develop and maintain DLP configurations, standards, procedures and documentation; identify opportunities to enhance controls.
• Work with platform vendors and partners to resolve issues and improve data security posture.

Key requirements

• Experience administering, configuring and optimising Netskope in production (essential).
• Proven track record implementing and managing enterprise DLP solutions.
• Hands-on experience with DLP technologies including Microsoft Purview, Netskope, Wiz and Kiteworks.
• Experience in data discovery, classification and information labeling.
• Experience implementing secure file sharing and information protection controls.
• Knowledge of cloud security posture management and risk remediation, ideally with Wiz.
• Experience investigating DLP alerts, supporting incident response and reporting for stakeholders/auditors.
• Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash/Shell, Regex, YAML/JSON).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; capable of leading multiple DLP initiatives.
