Kotlin Engineers… fancy working on something a little different?

I’m working with a growing digital consultancy who are looking for a Senior Kotlin Multiplatform Engineer to join their team, building complex cross-platform applications across Android AND desktop.

This isn’t a role where you’ll simply be picking up tickets.

They’re looking for someone who can bring strong hands-on engineering skills, take ownership of features end-to-end and contribute to the technical decisions behind how products are built.

The opportunity 🚀

You’ll be working with Kotlin Multiplatform & Compose Multiplatform, building applications designed to operate reliably across Android, Windows, macOS and Linux.

Some of the challenges you’ll get stuck into include:

Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) & Compose Multiplatform

Building across Android & desktop platforms

Engineering applications that work in offline, disconnected & high-latency environments

🧩 Shared business logic & platform-specific development using expect/actual

🛠️ Gradle, CI/CD & modern DevOps practices

🧪 Automated testing and clean, maintainable engineering

️ Contributing to architecture, technical design and engineering standards

You’ll own work from design through to production, while working closely with Engineers, Architects, Product Owners and customers to turn complex requirements into pragmatic technical solutions.

What they’re looking for

You’re a Senior Engineer who still loves being hands-on.

Someone comfortable making technical decisions, challenging an approach when there’s a better option and helping other Engineers around you improve.

You’ll ideally bring:

✅ Strong commercial Kotlin experience

✅ Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform / KMP

✅ Compose / Compose Multiplatform experience

✅ Strong understanding of modern software architecture and engineering principles

✅ CI/CD, automated testing & Gradle experience

✅ Experience owning features end-to-end

✅ Confidence communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

✅ A collaborative approach to mentoring & code reviews

Consultancy or customer-facing experience would be great, but ultimately they’re looking for someone who can combine strong engineering with great communication and ownership.
