Overview

In this Electrical Engineer role, you lead cyclical electrical replacements across Islington’s residential social housing stock, covering thousands of dwellings and block buildings. You collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver safe, compliant projects and contribute to long-term asset planning. Your work supports upgrading housing infrastructure while maintaining high standards of service and customer care. This is a hands-on, impact-driven position in a forward-thinking housing services team.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of cyclical replacement electrical projects across residential social housing stock (approx. 2,500 block buildings and 30,000+ dwellings)
• Manage projects such as Emergency Lighting Systems, Door Entry Installations, CCTV & Security Infrastructure, Lateral Supplies, Electrical Mains Distribution, Column Estate Lighting
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure safety, quality and compliance
• Contribute to a five-year asset management and capital improvement plan via asset data gathering
• Produce clear, detailed technical reports for the wider team and stakeholders
• Demonstrate CPD and keep up-to-date with electrical regulations and standards
• Work independently with strong commercial awareness and customer care focus

Key requirements

• Significant experience in the electrical technical industry, especially in contracting or consultancy
• Strong commercial awareness and professional credibility
• Solid understanding of electrical regulations and standards
