Senior Solutions Architect

Overview

As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will lead enterprise-scale solution design for major clients from our central London office. You’ll shape architectures across cloud-native platforms, microservices, APIs, and modern development stacks, aligning tech options with business needs. You’ll work closely with sales, practice, and delivery teams to translate requirements into concrete roadmaps and artifacts. This role offers meaningful impact through platform modernization, cloud migrations, and strategic technology decisions. Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into architecture diagrams and implementation roadmaps
• Design scalable, enterprise-grade solutions across cloud, mobile/web, and integration domains
• Engage with business and IT stakeholders to align technology with strategy
• Lead pre-sales activities including solution architecture, proposals and effort estimation
• Collaborate with sales, practice, and delivery teams through the full project lifecycle
• Stay current with emerging technologies and assess their applicability to client needs
• Develop and present technical proposals, pitch decks, and delivery plans
• Provide trusted advisory support to technology leaders and project teams
• Support cloud modernization and migration initiatives

Key requirements

• 20+ years of Solutions Architecture or equivalent enterprise architecture experience
• Experience in client-facing roles and large-scale application platform implementations
• Proficiency with Java/J2EE or .NET and related databases (Oracle, MySQL)
• Deep knowledge of microservices, REST APIs, API management tools (MuleSoft, Apigee) and Kafka
• Cloud experience with AWS or Azure and understanding of distributed systems
• Agile methodologies (e.g., Agile/Scrum, TDD/BDD, performance testing) and DevOps (CI/CD, test automation)
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• TOGAF familiarity is a plus
• Ability to travel up to 40%
• Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra)
• Polyglot programming exposure (Scala, Python, Golang)
