Senior Civil Engineer (Nuclear)

Overview

In this role you will deliver nuclear civil design work for UK and international projects within a multidisciplinary team. You will interact with clients, help shape bids and proposals, and oversee project delivery to meet AECOM’s quality, safety and environmental standards. You’ll mentor junior staff and collaborate with engineers across disciplines to tackle high-profile, lifecycle projects in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment. Responsibilities

• Deliver nuclear civil design work for UK and international projects
• Prepare detailed technical civil engineering designs
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-profile projects
• Assist with project delivery management and governance
• Mentor and develop junior team members and design staff

Key requirements

• Bachelor Honours Degree and Chartered or near Chartered Engineer (MICE)
• Specialist civil engineering expertise in relevant areas
• Ability to prepare design work with minimal supervision
• Experience with civil engineering plant/equipment applications
• Knowledge of design guides, regulations and procedures
• Proven delivery experience and ability to guide engineers in work packages
• Knowledge of design tools and IT systems
• Mentor/lead technicians and graduates
