Criminology Teacher – Sheffield

About the role:

We are seeking a dedicated Teacher of Criminology to deliver engaging A Level Criminology lessons at a supportive secondary school in Sheffield. This role is available from September 2026, running into February 2027 (Half term). The role is on a long-term supply basis, offering full-time cover with flexibility for part-time applicants. This is a long-term supply position within a school known for its inclusive ethos, strong academic standards, and commitment to student success in a positive and well-resourced learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality A Level Criminology lessons in line with the curriculum
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning
• Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners
• Contribute to the wider department and uphold school policies and values

Pre-requisites:

• Relevant teaching qualifications (e.g. PGCE, QTS or equivalent)
• Proven experience of teaching Criminology at A Level
• Strong knowledge of the A Level Criminology curriculum
• Two education or school-based references
• Strong classroom management skills and a passion for the subject
