Investment Data Analyst – Finance

Overview

In this role you will manage and curate data from multiple vendors to support investment decisions. You will collaborate with traders and quants to deliver data insights, analyses and visualisations, and identify data needs and gaps. You’ll ensure data quality and maintain data dictionaries while partnering with Data Engineers and tech teams to improve data systems. This is a Newcastle-based, office-focused opportunity in a fast-growing finance-oriented tech consultancy.

Responsibilities

• Manage and curate raw data content from multiple data vendors and the broader finance industry
• Collaborate with traders and quants on investment desks to provide data insights, analysis and visualisations
• Identify and address data needs and gaps
• Evaluate data quality for consistency, completeness and accuracy across platforms
• Develop and maintain data dictionaries and documentation
• Collaborate with Data Engineers and Technology teams to implement and enhance data systems and processes

Key requirements

• First class STEM degree
• Strong interest and understanding of financial markets, with commercial experience or demonstrable personal projects
• Advanced SQL and Python skills
• Familiarity with Data Science and/or Machine Learning tools and techniques
