We have a number of permanent and contract vacancies for multiple businesses across the UK and overseas.The below job description will outline this position of: CTV Deckhand (Onboard)Typically, this person will support the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the vessel, assisting with deck operations, maintenance tasks and general seamanship duties while ensuring compliance with all maritime safety regulations.HSB Technical’s client is an established and well-regarded business entity.Duties and Responsibilities of the CTV Deckhand (Onboard):
- Assist with mooring operations, vessel tie-ups and safe passenger transfers
- Support cargo handling and equipment loading/unloading operations
- Carry out routine deck maintenance including cleaning, painting and preservation work
- Assist with basic mechanical tasks and engine room support where required
- Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of deck areas and equipment
- Participate in regular vessel inspections and safety drills
- Ensure compliance with all relevant maritime regulations and company procedures
- Assist the Master and Engineer as required during operations
- Maintain accurate logs and report any defects or safety concerns promptly
- Carry out all duties in accordance with STCW regulations and company policies
Qualifications and Requirements for the CTV Deckhand (Onboard):
- British / Right to Work in the UK
- Previous experience working onboard CTVs or similar workboats (Desirable)
- AEC 1 (Essential)
- All STCW certifications to be in date, including ENG1
- Good understanding of deck operations and vessel safety procedures
- Ability to work effectively within a small crew environment
- Strong work ethic and proactive attitude
- Full UK Driving Licence (Desirable)
