Senior Information Security Analyst

Overview

As a Senior Information Security Analyst, you will safeguard the organizations information assets and technology infrastructure in a global pharma setting. You will shape security policy, architecture, and controls to maintain a strong security posture while managing risk across internal and external environments. You will lead incident response, vulnerability remediation, and security testing, collaborating with IT and business teams to implement robust safeguards. This role offers impact through risk reduction, policy enforcement, and deployment of security solutions at enterprise scale.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement the cybersecurity strategy
• Identify security gaps from monitoring and enhance security controls
• Manage access to elevated privilege accounts and audit activities
• Evaluate and implement cybersecurity solutions to protect confidentiality, integrity, and availability
• Lead proofs-of-concept for new security technologies and define selection criteria
• Participate in development and testing of the security incident response plan
• Develop security, risk, and compliance reports and alerts
• Contribute to annual policy reviews and disaster recovery testing
• Manage cybersecurity projects to meet scope, budget, and security requirements
• Coordinate internal security assessments, penetration tests, and vulnerability scans
• Ensure compliance with frameworks and regulations (e.g., COBIT, NIST, ISO, PCI, GDPR, HIPAA)
• Provide internal security support via tickets and meet SLAs
• Input into cybersecurity strategic roadmap and budget
• Adhere to change management policies

Key requirements

• Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline
• 5+ years in information security
• Proficiency with security frameworks (NIST, etc.)
• Knowledge of Cisco networking equipment, VPN, DLP, antivirus, IDS/IPS, SIEM, AD, DNS, DHCP, VLANs
• Experience with IAM solutions (SAML/OAUTH)
• Experience with HIDS/NIDS
• Relevant information security certifications (preferred)
• Ability to analyze and propose security landscape improvements
• Change management participation and input to security roadmap
