Our client is the world’s leading supplier of machinery for the global can-making industry. Their high-speed machines can be found in plants around the world performing the value-added functions. In addition, they supply individual machines, they design, install and support. Located in Cumbria, UK, the company employs over 120 employees with a turnover exceeding £100m.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Systems Programme Manager will Coordinate multipleglobalactivitiessimultaneously. Project planning and management procedures, practices, and techniques.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Systems Programme Manager will:
·Collaboratewithsalesteamtounderstandcustomerrequirements
·ReviewsalescontractsforprojectsasrequiredbyProjectDirector.
·Chairweeklyprojectsreviewmeeting with function leads.
·Manage coordinationoffinalizingspecifications.
·Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and timelines for global OEM projects. This position will proactively support the complete project life cycle (from order to shipment) ensuring timely, successful implementation of customer orders.
·Ensure projects are well planned and organized, including documenting milestone meetings to comply with ISO 9001 standards.
·Participate in cross-project planning to resolve conflicts with project priorities, resourcing, schedule, and scope.
·Communicate with customers in all stages of the project life cycle. Retrieve engineering requirements, meet buy off expectations and provide support with shipped equipment.
·Participatein conveying customerbuy-offandcustomerneeds.
·Track project changes and produce updated schedules as agreed with Product Director, engineering, supply chain personnel, operations, and customers.
·Receive input from Product Director and Project Engineers to develop and maintainthe detailed schedules.Takeownershipandindependentactionstosolveproblemsimpactingproject
·Evaluate existing project management practices and recommend improvements to project and program management practices.
·OverseeandtrainprojectCoordinatorsanddevelopandnurtureCoordinators’skillsandabilities.
·AssistwithimplementationofProjectManagementsoftware.
·Liaisewithmanagementatalllevelsofthebusiness.
·Answercustomers’questionsaboutproductsandavailability.
·Statusof“duebills”communicatedto customers.
·Statusofprojectupdatescommunicatedto customers.
·Managing SharePoint system and having authority of our structure and system changes
·Managing resource allocations and balancing conflicts
·Capacity planning reporting for each function
·Driving and managing standardisation of project schedules and task list
·Driving and developing IFS and other software related systems of work to improve efficiency across the projects and conveying departments
·Oversee management of internal conveying build schedules
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED:
The Systems Programme Manager will have / experience and knowledge of:
·Bachelor’s degree in business management, Operations Management, Engineering, Marketing or Project Management preferred.
·Minimumof2-5yearsofexperienceincanmakingindustryormachinebuildingindustryor equivalent combination of education and experience.
·Strongfoundationinprojectplanningandanalysis,basic qualitative/quantitative evaluation is preferred.
·ProficientinMicrosoft Project WordandExcel.
·Estimatedtravelis10-20%orasrequired.
·Role requires excellent communication andpresentationskills and the abilityto plan,
·Ability to influence change through communication and collaboration
