Overview

In this Probate Solicitor role, you will manage a varied range of probate and estate administration matters within the Private Client team. You contribute to delivering high-quality client care while ensuring compliance with regulations and professional standards. You will work closely with executors, beneficiaries and stakeholders, handling filings and drafting essential documents. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape outcomes for clients and contribute to a supportive, inclusive firm culture.

Responsibilities

  • Managing probate and estate administration cases end-to-end
  • Advising on wills, trusts, LPAs, inheritance tax, and intestacy
  • Drafting and reviewing wills and trust deeds
  • Liaising with executors, beneficiaries, HMRC and stakeholders
  • Preparing applications for Grants of Probate and Letters of Administration
  • Ensuring compliance with legislation and SRA regulations
  • Maintaining high standards of client care and developing long-term relationships
  • Supporting business development and networking initiatives

Key requirements

  • 3+ years PQE in probate and estate administration
  • Strong technical and drafting skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Confidence in managing matters independently
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Motivation, organisation and a proactive mindset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal IT systems
  • STEP qualification (or working towards) desirable
