Senior Associate – Agriculture & Land – Somerset – 5+ Years PQE

Overview

In this role you will manage a varied caseload of agricultural and rural property matters, from farm transactions to tenancy work and development projects. You will work within a busy Agriculture & Land team, supporting long-term client relationships and a collaborative culture. The position offers hybrid flexibility and progression within a respected South West firm. You will contribute to high-quality, technically strong property work while developing the team and client base.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of agricultural and rural property matters
• Sales and purchases of farms, estates and rural land
• Agricultural tenancies
• Rural land development and diversification projects
• Succession planning support
• Agricultural finance and security work
• Build relationships with landowners, farmers, estates and rural businesses
• Support a collaborative and ambitious team culture

Key requirements

• 5+ years’ PQE in agricultural, rural property or commercial property law
• Strong technical skills in property transactions
• Genuine interest in the rural and agricultural sector
• Excellent communication and client care abilities
• Confidence managing matters independently
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Proactive, solutions focused mindset
• Strong commercial awareness
• Ability to mentor junior colleagues and contribute to team development
