Network Security Specialist – Quantitative Trading

Overview

In this role you will safeguard a distributed, multi-vendor network infrastructure supporting trading and internet connectivity. You will partner with Network Engineering and Cyber Security to keep firewall policies current, design secure DMZs, and push standardisation via automation. Based in London with a global remit, the role is technical, fast-paced, and focused on tangible security outcomes. You will shape the security posture of mission-critical systems in a renowned trading environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Network Engineering team on DMZ designs and deployments
• Troubleshoot network issues via packet captures and audit logs review
• Assist team with support tasks and improve monitoring through scripting and collaboration with developers for complex tasks
• Work closely with Cyber Security to mitigate threats and address vulnerabilities
• Ensure firewall policies remain up-to-date with security standards and business requirements

Key requirements

• Extensive experience deploying and maintaining mission-critical networks
• Hands-on experience with firewall configuration and troubleshooting
• Strong knowledge of network security principles and technologies (TCP, ARP, BGP, OSPF, DHCP, DNS)
• Automation-focused mindset for workflows
• Experience in DMZ network design
